The pool and spa anchor the space, while the sun shelf, fire feature, covered lounge, outdoor kitchen, and bar seating create distinct places to gather, unwind, and entertain. Every part works together to make life outside feel just as comfortable as life inside. 🤍

I stay closely involved throughout every project because I want to understand the reasoning behind each decision. How is it being built? Does the layout make sense? What will it cost? Is there a better way to accomplish it?

The technical side of construction is one of my favorite parts of building. Thoughtful homes come from paying attention to every detail, not just the finished product.

The planning phase of a custom home can take five months or more, so reaching the framing stage always feels especially rewarding.

It is the first time the vision begins to feel tangible. From the initial chalk lines to the walls going up and rough-ins beginning, you can finally see the home taking shape beyond the plans.

This will always be one of my favorite parts of being a builder. 🤍

“One quick video of the house” always turns into 47 clips when every detail deserves its own moment.

From the statement fireplace and warm wood tones to the layered lighting, custom built-ins, exposed ceiling beams and thoughtfully selected hardware, every element adds something special to this home. The kind of craftsmanship you can’t fully appreciate in just one clip.

One change during a build can create a domino effect. Moving a single wall may impact the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and even the structural plans, ultimately adding time and cost to the project.

The earlier decisions are made, the more options we have and the easier it is to keep the build on track. Thoughtful planning from the beginning makes all the difference. ✨

A few spaces I kept coming back to in this home. The warm wood tones, unexpected tile, beautiful natural light, and thoughtful details each bring something different to the design.

A first look at what’s to come. 🤍

We spent the day with Sandra Britt walking through the design presentation for our next new build in Troubadour, and this one is going to be something special.

It’s an expansive home with an incredible vision behind it, including finishes and details that feel different from so much of what we’ve seen in Middle Tennessee. Excited to bring this one to life and share more of the process along the way.
