Yard Nerds

Every treatment done personally by the owner. I served in the United States Marine Corps. After that, I spent years in the corporate world doing what a lot of people do — building someone else's vision, on someone else's terms. But fine isn't a standard I'm comfortable with. The truth is, I've been obsessed with turf management for longer than I'd probably admit in normal conversation. Not "I like a nice lawn" obsessed — I mean I studied soil chemistry, seasonal fescue biology, weed science, amendment protocols, and irrigation principles until I understood tall fescue care at a level most professionals in this industry never reach. Not because I had to for a job. Because I couldn't stop. I launched Verdant Turf Co. because I couldn't find anyone in Nashville who approached lawn care the way I believed it should be done: with precision, with transparency, and with genuine expertise — not just a truck, a bag of fertilizer, and a route to run. Nobody was testing soil before writing a program. Nobody was matching seed varieties to specific site conditions. Nobody was publishing their prices or explaining what they were actually putting down and why. So I decided to be that person.
