It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of a longtime Brazil Mainstreet friend, Earl Hutcheson.
Earl has worked tirelessly as a friend, volunteer, encourager, cheerleader, safety/fire consultant, and trusted advisor on many of our projects.
His loss is a blow to our community. But, we will honor his memory by continuing to work diligently on projects that promote the values and ideals that he displayed for our organization and volunteers.
Thank you Earl for your positive example to all of us.
Our thoughts, prayers and support will be with his family during these difficult days.

Brazil Main Street would like to thank our wonderful community for all the great support for our recently completed 10th Annual Route 40 Fest on Saturday. We have come a long way from 10 years ago. Our goals remain the same- build a sense of community, encourage business and retail commerce in our downtown area, provide a venue for friends and neighbors to come together renewing friendships and fellowship and to remind ourselves of how blessed we are to live in a community whose members care for each other.
There are lots of moving parts to this annual celebration. It takes planning, logistics, lots of cooperation, hard work and money to make it happen. This is not a fundraising project for BMS. We have never made a profit on the event because we have always tried to make it nearly free with no admission costs and open to everyone. We continue to be proud that we are still able to do that for our patrons and supporters.
A special thanks goes out to our BMS volunteers who work tirelessly through the year to produce this huge annual event.
And now we start again on number 11! Our first planning meeting for the 2027 Route 40 Fest begins tonight.
