We’re getting real close to wrapping this mobile sauna up and plan to list it soon!
The back deck and exterior door have been finished. This will be a nice feature, to be able to step outside and cool off in the breeze while staying on the sauna deck.
We’re just about done with the changing room. The bench in the changing room is cedar.
Both the deck and the changing room walls are pine.

Good lighting is key for the premier sauna experience! This sauna feature a dimmable strip light under the bench as well as dimmable lights in the changing room and deck. All of this is powered by solar so you will never have to worry about power for this mobile sauna!

Got the solar panel mounted and hooked up! The solar power will feed the lighting on this mobile sauna which is a key part of the premier sauna experience!

Benches are in and first coat of exterior paint is on. We used western red cedar for the benches to provide a nice accent. We were careful to use boards with less knots as the knots can retain and reflect heat. And we built the benches so that there are not any screws or nails on the surface.

Made a lot of progress today but still some details to finalize. We placed the wood stove/heater and chimney as well as the backing for the stove. We also finished placing the cedar tongue and grove in the steam room. The dressing room wall went up today. We ran electrical wires in prep for the lighting (this is a key part of a good sauna experience). The dressing room walls were insulated, v***r barrier placed, and the walls were finished with pine.

Next steps, we are planning to place a solar panel so this can be fully off grid, build the steam room benches, and add details to the dressing room and deck area!
