Butt joints and toe nails might make for a cool garage band name, but it’s not a recommended method of construction for your garage arbor!

This homeowner began a project 6 years ago, and like so many DIY projects, it never quite got finished. And then the design flaws started to show. As the vines crept up, the supports started getting pulled down. That’s a problem.

Enter OJBG into the chat!

With a few strategic notches cut into the original supports and some structural screws added in the right places, it’s now strong enough to hold all that new lumber and a 195lb handyman…ask me how I know! 🤣💪🏻🤣

Thank you to these wonderful long term clients who’ve trusted me with so many projects over the years.

This was by far the largest.

Plumbing and electrical were hired out by the client, but OJBG handled EVERYTHING else.

Including my first ever drywall arch!!💪🏻🛠️

I’m still not sure if small remodels are the direction I want to go in, but it’s hard to say no when the results look this good!!!

Shout out to the client for the design work, I just turned a great drawing into a suitable representation of it. 🤩👌🏻
