These poor things completely drooped and looked just awful. After soaking them for about six hours, they looked as good as new.

Gardens are a long term project. Even if someone else is doing the work of putting it in, plants take time to establish and fill in. My space is coming along and I’m excited to see it continue coming together.

… Or maybe a little more than ready. Now that the roots are circling, we’ve got to get these out quick. They’ve certainly rooted quickly and now it’s time to harden them off and then get them in the ground.

The ingredients that make up with bouquet are feverfew, Hydrengas, peonies, garden roses, stock and forsythia greens.

Add stakes in at the time of planting or if you’ve already planted, add your support stakes carefully to avoid damaging your plants root system or tubers.

This tray cooked- but not in the good way. The heat mat got a bit too warm for the shallow cells and toasted the soil and some of the seeds. Never a great thing, but it sure is satisfying to try and rehydrate.

Yeah I got a lot of ant bites… poor things must have been so scared. They definitely picked a poor place to build, but who could blame them with all that lovely airy soil just sitting there…
