Dear Community Members,

Over the past few days, we’ve received incredible engagement and heartfelt responses surrounding our Christmas Miracle initiative.

Our post has reached over 10,000 viewers, with more than 85% expressing overwhelming encouragement, warmth, and support. For that, we are deeply grateful.

We also recognize that around 15% of the feedback we received expressed concerns that were difficult to hear—but important for us to listen to. Our original intent has always been simple and sincere: to do something meaningful, something kind, and something grand enough to make a very special woman—who lost her husband 24 years ago—feel loved, supported, and seen this Christmas season.

After reflecting carefully on the feedback shared by the community, we have decided to move forward with delivering our Christmas Miracle as planned; however, we will no longer be inviting the news media or law enforcement to join us during the event. While our intentions were rooted in celebration and community spirit, we understand how the presence of media could shift the perception of what this effort is truly about.

We take every comment seriously. We read each one. We grow from them. As a team with a growth mindset, we recognize there are areas we can improve, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from this experience.

With that said, our commitment to serving others remains unwavering. In 2026 and beyond, we will continue to help those in need. We will continue to identify individuals who truly cannot afford our services and provide assistance at no cost. We will continue to give back—but with an even more thoughtful approach moving forward.

Tomorrow, on Christmas Day, we will deliver this Christmas Miracle quietly, respectfully, and from the heart. Following this, we do plan to share what we are able to capture, so that our community—who helped inspire and uplift this effort—can still share in the joy of what was accomplished.

Thank you for your continued support, trust, and honest feedback. We look forward to a meaningful Christmas, a successful delivery of this miracle, and a prosperous and compassionate 2026 alongside this community.

Warm regards,
Washington Tree Services

Hi neighbors — I wanted to share something that happened today that genuinely stopped me in my tracks.

I was out walking my local neighborhood, knocking on doors, introducing myself, and giving people a little education about tree safety — nothing salesy, just meeting folks and answering questions.

One of the very first doors I knocked on was answered by an older woman who welcomed me with a smile and immediately invited conversation. She shared that she lost her husband many years ago and has been doing her best to manage everything on her own ever since.

When she kindly invited me to take a look at her backyard, my heart sank. Several large trees are resting directly on her roof — the kind of situation that keeps you up at night if you know what to look for. The work needed to make her home safe would normally cost around $5,000 — and it’s simply not something she can afford.
As I continued door-knocking, neighbor after neighbor said the same thing about her — that she’s the kindest soul on the block, the type of person who always looks out for others even when life hasn’t been easy for her.

After talking it over with my partner, we knew what we wanted to do.

On Christmas Day, we’re going back to her home under the pretense of reviewing her estimate — and instead we’re going to tell her that every bit of the work will be done completely free of charge. We’ll put her on the schedule, give her written dates, and let her know her home will be safe.

We’re hoping to capture this moment live and candid — not for promotion, but to share a reminder of kindness, community, and what the holidays are really about.

You could call it a Christmas Tree miracle (pun absolutely intended).

If anyone here has connections to local reporters, producers, or news outlets — or knows how to help get this story in front of them — we would be incredibly grateful.

Sometimes the smallest acts of care make the biggest difference.
