Itzy Blooms

One of the amazing nonprofits I was able to visit this summer was Girls Inc of Boston & Lynn MA.

I had the pleasure of meeting their super nice CEO Natalie Martinez, touring their location, and learning more about what they do and how they help girls. And of course - dropping off a complimentary bouquet of hydrangeas, as well as a small donation from Itzy Blooms (every little bit helps!).

What’s special to me about Girls Inc, is that their mission is to inspire and help girls to be strong, smart and bold. They have a variety of programs throughout the summer and school year, to help girls succeed.

In our house, one of our main rules is “have a kind heart.” So I really appreciate that one of the values they teach is: “Respect the dignity of each human being and demonstrate genuine care and concern for the well-being of others.”

Last month, I was thrilled to be able to support a local nonprofit that is close to our heart: Save-A-Dog.

As one of the nonprofits I chose to support through my flower business, I was super proud to stop by with my dad and not only drop off some free flowers, but also presented them with a donation to help them to continue to help pets (they are a privately funded organization and rely entirely on donations to keep the rescue mission going)!

Save-A-Dog is located in Sudbury on Boston Post Road, and literally helps save the lives of dogs and cats. Their primary focus is rescuing and “re-homing” abandoned dogs (and sometimes cats).

Save-A-Dog is special to our family because that is where we adopted our kittens, Mabel and Milo, a few years ago!

One of the interesting things we learned about Save-A-Dog, is that one of their primary goals is to educate people about pet overpopulation and the need to "adopt" rather than "buy". In doing so, they help provide friendly, good-natured, dogs and cats for adoption. The dogs they receive from rural humane societies all would otherwise have been put to sleep (too sad!)..

Our final peony sale of 2026 will be this coming Saturday morning!!!

When: Saturday June 13thm from 7:30-9:30 a.m. (or while supplies last)
Where: By the entrance to CrossFit Tilt Sudbury (60 Union Ave, Sudbury.
(thank you to CrossFit Tilt for generously letting us set up shop by the entrance to their awesome fitness center!!)
Why: Gorgeous flowers for your home, and as always, 50% of all revenue will be donated to 3 amazing nonprofits (Save-A-Dog, The Chase Home , and The Learning Center for the Deaf (MA).

Don't live in Sudbury? Still want to support Itzy Blooms, the 3 nonprofits we donate 50% of our revenue to, and spread joy via our delivering Peony bouquets to local senior living communities and nonprofits? You're in luck!!

Based on numerous requests last year, we offer an option where you can contribute to the free deliveries we make to senior living communities (the senior citizen residents LOVE the visits and flowers!!!!), and to other local nonprofits.

Attached are more details, including the nonprofits we support, and how to make a contribution for this service.

This will be our final week of the 2026 Peony season- and it will be spectacular!!! We still have new blooms, of all different colors, popping every day!

Two options if you want to spread some joy:

(1) Final pop-up sale- location and day still TBD (monitoring weather). If you live in the MetroWest area we would love to see you and hand you a peony bouquet in person!

(2) Out of towners? Not available? Based on numerous requests last year, we will be offering an option where you can contribute to the free deliveries we make to senior living communities (the senior citizen residents LOVE the visits and flowers!!!!), and to other local nonprofits. -- details to follow.

Peony sale tomorrow- June 4th!!!! This will be our 2nd to last peony pop-up sale of 2026 (we'll have one more next week.... and hopefully some hydrangea sales this summer, as our 100+ hydrangeas begin to bloom).
