New commercial office construction in Grand Cane, Louisiana: one week of progress on our ground-up Edward Jones build.

Progress like this doesn't happen by accident. It comes from solid preconstruction, clear planning, and good coordination between every professional on the job.

Where we are this week:
• Framing complete, including the stepped storefront parapet
• ZIP System wall and roof sheathing installed and taped
• Front porch canopy framed and decked
• JELD-WEN windows set
• Building drying in and getting ready for roofing and exterior finishes

A general contractor's real job is bringing the right people together and keeping the work moving. Credit to the architect, engineers, and trade partners who put in the work on the front end, and to the crew making it happen in the field. 👏

Before: a jetted tub, two small closets that didn't work, and a layout that wasted space. Here's what we're doing:
• Removing the existing tub
• Building a huge walk-in shower with a hidden linear drain, a rain head, and a wall-mounted shower fixture
• Relocating the vanity and the toilet
• Replacing two small closets with one large two-level closet with pull-down rods for the upper level
• Adding backlighting in every cubby

Wait until you see this shower: completely modern, large, and functional.

This bathroom spent weeks in planning, pre-construction, and design so every selection was finalized before demo day. The cabinets are top-shelf prefabricated units, and the fixtures are brushed gold Delta. Everything in this room is top of the line, and it takes a team to pull it off.

Demo is underway behind a dust containment wall to protect the rest of the home. Follow along for the reveal.

Plans in hand, boots on site, and a building taking shape. 🏗️

This is the future Edward Jones office in Grand Cane. The owner is a close friend who knew our team’s work and trusted us to build a space for his business. We’re now seeing that vision come to life, with framing well underway.

Another progress update on this kitchen, dining room, and master bath remodel! We’re putting the final touches on the paint and floors, and countertops and backsplash are coming soon. Then we’ll wrap up the last few remaining details.

I know I’ve said it before, but I truly can’t wait to reveal the whole project. Our client knew exactly what she wanted, and our team brought her vision to life.
