Summer is right around the corner and so are a list of pests that can affect you, your family and your home.

Carpenter Ants are tenacious little buggers.

As the temps go up they come out to forage new places to find food and shelter. Contrary to popular belief they don't actually eat the wood they are in and instead excavate it out to create a home. They like being outside but may be attracted inside. They feed on protein such as other insects and enjoy sugars as well.

Warning signs to watch out for:

Sometimes a crinkling sound in the walls.

Piles of wood shavings under wooden furniture, baseboards and the like.

And of course...big ants roaming around inside and out.

Let's evict them before they settle in to stay. Reach out to us and lets keep your home solid this summer.

It's a beautiful day here in Iowa and it is heating up outside. Those pesky exterior pests are ramping up including bald-faced hornets, yellowjackets, wasps and other stinging insects. If you are seeing wasps on or near your home let us know and we can get you taken care of. For paper wasps check your eves, under siding, light fixtures, grill, mailboxes and other areas. Yellow jackets out in the yard, under bushes and slabs. Hornets nests on sides of roof eves and trees. We do a range of services from one time fixes to ongoing preventative services so that you can feel safe and comfortable in your own yard.
