This one was a pretty good driveway rescue.

It was about 1/4 mile long and had been beat up by years of water running down the surface. Ruts, washouts, loose gravel pushed around, and ditches that weren’t doing much anymore.

I reshaped the driveway, repaired the washed out areas, got the ditches working again, added crush and run on the drive, and used rip rap around the culvert and ditch areas where the water needed more control.

Not every driveway needs to be completely rebuilt, but when water has been running the wrong way for years, fresh gravel by itself usually isn’t enough.

The customer said it came out “far better than I expected,” and that it drives smooth now. That’s about the best feedback I can ask for.
