I came across this photo today and had to share it.
This was the very first backsplash I ever did working side‑by‑side with my father. He was a master tile setter with that old‑school pride — every cut mattered, every line had to be perfect, and he never rushed a job. I didn’t realize it then, but moments like this shaped everything about the way I work today.
Years later, after trade school and years in the field, my family and I moved to the Lowcountry. It felt like the right place to build something of our own — a community that values honesty, craftsmanship, and treating people right.
When it came time to name the business, I wanted something that represented the work ethic my father taught me. That’s where Kick‑N‑Boots Tile came from. To me, it means showing up every day ready to work hard, give your best, and leave every home looking clean and professional.
