Turnaround Time:
All pieces are made to order, unless otherwise noted. Turnaround times will vary based on volume of order backlog as well as the size and quantity of pieces you are purchasing(i.e. A dining room set requires more labor hours than a set of small end tables.) Black Kat Woodworks reserves the right to extend completion time as needed to ensure you receive a quality product that
will last for years to come. I would rather have a customer slightly upset due to a minor delay, than to have a customer upset with a piece that doesn't far surpass their expectations. Pricing and Placing Orders:
All orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit to get started, or be placed in line on the waiting list if there happens to be a backlog at the time of order. This ensures buyer intent, as well covers materials and some labor hours in the event that a buyer backs out, or abandons purchase. Again, this deposit is *non-refundable.* Pricing varies depending on type of piece, size of piece, features added, and current material costs at the time of quote(wood prices fluctuate quite frequently and are sometimes unpredictable.) I try to keep my prices as fair as possible, but remember, you are buying a quality, handmade piece that is made locally and not in a factory overseas. Craftsmanship Warranty
With every piece I build, I stand behind it 110%. If you purchase a piece from me, and within one year there is a defect in craftsmanship(i.e. table top cups, or splits) I repair the affected area at no charge. This is void if there is evidence of misuse, or lack of proper care such as but not limited to indoor furniture being used outdoors, pet damage, being dropped or ran over by a vehicle. One year in your home allows the wood to expand and contract during multiple changes in indoor humidity which is when any problems would naturally occur. My pieces are built with this in mind, and I do everything possible to prevent any issues from ever popping up but there is always a potential and I do not feel the customer should have to worry about this or how they'll get it fixed should this happen. For tables, chairs, benches, or any other floor standing pieces, I check everything on a dead flat surface to ensure there are no wobbles. These items MAY have a wobble on your floor due to building construction methods leaving slight variances in your floor. If this occurs, this is also covered and I will make any adjustments needed to achieve stability. This generally doesn't happen, however, is another possibility that I like to be open about and again, that you shouldn't have to worry about. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message day or night. I try to be as responsive as possible but do get backed up at times so please be patient as I'm only a one man operation.
