Here is a volunteer tree that had grown up next to this retention wall. You can see that it failed on the retention wall side because there was not a root system that could hold it in place.

We were able to methodically remove each section.
Then use the mini skid to pull it off the house and section it down more.
We then stood the entire section up, grabbed it with the mini skid and cut the bottom of the spar.

This is the exciting part about tree work. 🤩 Getting to use tools and skills that I don’t often get to employ.

This homeowner had a Bradford Pear tree fail in numerous places. Being able to properly setup a rigging system that allows me to pick this branch up off the house, safely process it, and then safely lower the entire section without causing any further damage! 💥😎💥💪

I intentionally focus on making sure to do what I can to prevent any further damage.

I was just thinking about this. One of the ways you can make sure you do not get scammed in tree work, especially after damaging storms is to see if the tree company is bonded.

The town of Normal is the only one that requires tree businesses to get a bond but Bloomington residents can benefit from the same assurance by asking if the tree company is bonded in Normal.

This is one way to make sure you are dealing with someone local.

Well, it happened again. This guy just carrying logs on shoulders for days! 💪

Doing hard S*** so when life brings “change” we are ready! 😉

Note: I had him stop and turn around so I could get a picture! 🤣 Not easy when you have a black locust log on your shoulder.

Throw line for the win!

Early this week we removed this maple tree. The tree was about 35’ tall with enough room to fell in the back yard.

✅I removed all the branches as high as I could reach with the pole saw.
✅Threw my throw line into the canopy so that I could get a rope high enough.

🤦‍♂️Well, the throw line bag ended up getting stuck in the canopy.
💪 I pulled on the line as hard as I could to get it from the tree to no avail.

💡🤔 Hell, what if we just use that throw line to pull it down?

🤩 It works! 🤣 Crazy how a little throw line is strong enough!
