When I painted this I was experiencing a big physical change, that made me feel equally: invisible, unrecognizable, but full of potential and new things, a new found energy. I was experiencing a flare up of body dysmorphia, while also being happy about feeling change. So this image came to me in a dream, and I felt like it conveyed exactly what it felt like to change.
