We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in preparing estimates for commercial and residential new construction and remodeling projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
• A minimum of 5 years of construction estimating experience is preferred, with relevant experience potentially substituting for a college degree.
• A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Estimating, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
• Experience with PlanSwift or similar construction estimating software is preferred.
• The ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents is essential.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills are necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential new construction and renovation projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Develop scopes of work and perform quantity takeoffs.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors throughout the estimating process.
• Assist with budgeting and project planning activities.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
• Compensation is based on experience.
• This is a full-time position, requiring 45–50 hours per week.
• The standard workweek is five days, with weekends off.
