Goldbeard Gardens grows most of the produce we use in our salsa. Some peppers that you can't even find in stores like the Tricked You Jalapeños, Habanadas (Heatless Habanero), Bahamian Goat (similar to Habanero but more fruity than citrus) and more. This season has been rough for tomatoes, so we did have to source those. But the peppers, onions, and garlic are home grown and pesticide free.

Trying out a new Roasted Jalapeño Sauce recipe. It will be available for samples this weekend at The Farm Stand - Farmers Market from 9am to 1pm.

Ingredients:
Roasted Tomatoes
Roasted Red Jalapeños
Roasted Green Serrano
Roasted Onion
Roasted Garlic
Salt
Olive Oil
9% Acid Vinegar
Spices

Blended into a smooth sauce with a Spicy kick with great roasted flavor.

I wanted to thank everyone that came out to both The Farm Stand - Farmers Market and Downtown Sweetwater Farmers Market

I pulled an all day event, morning in Sweetwater and Evening at Big Spring. It was a nice cool Fall day to have markets.

A lot of new customers and return customers came out to both locations. Thank you all.

The highlight of the evening was a 10 year old Girl from Loaves of Sunshine making it from the Mild Sauces to the Extremely Hot sauce with no reaction. 😆 🤣 Her and her Sister (photoed) below challenged one another to see who could handle the most heat! She beat her older sister who tapped out at the Ghost 👻 Salsa. 👍

After the challenge, I decided to give her a free jar of salsa (of her choice) and she decided on the Mild Jalapeño Salsa. I use to do this challenge when I first started selling the Extreme Hot. I was happy to be talked back into doing it. It was fun to watch.

After about 20min passed the "winner" of the challenge mentioned she could start to feel the spice in her stomach. 😆 I immediately recommended she eat something before it got worse. 🥵

The Mom was watching the whole time and snapped the below photo of me serving them. I typically dont allow anyone under 18 to try the Hottest stuff I make because it can hurt your gut if you have an empty stomach. I always make sure it's ok with the parents first if they're under 18.

3 types of Jalapeño Salsa

Heatless Tricked you Jalapeño (All Heatless)
Mild Jalapeño (Heatless/Spicy Mix)
Spicy Jalapeño (All Spicy)

I make my Mild Jalapeño with a mix of Heatless and Spicy Jalapeño. This allows me to bring down the heat while still using the the same amount of peppers for flavor.

These are some nice temps for the first day into Autumn. 🍂

These are temps that like to set those flowers on our peppers and tomatoes here in the West Texas Desert 🏜.

Looking good for rest of the week. No more 100°F + in the forecast.

I'm due for a harvest of Heatless Tricked You Jalapeños. So, hopefully I get enough to restock the Mild Sauces.

We are creeping into Fall out here in West Texas. The days are starting to get cooler, and the plants are starting to set fruit again. By the end of October and Mid November ill be harvesting peppers like crazy!

I had to give the plants some food grade Diatomaceous Earth, thats the white powder you see everywhere.

My Tricked You Jalapeños are pushing 5 plus foot in size, im hoping for over 6ft plants by the end of the season. The beds they are in right now are 1ft tall, which is why they are as tall as me. I'm around 5'10"

The super hot bushes have closed the walking gaps 😆 Looking forward to them producing more in the next couple months as it cools down.

I also pictured my Moringa Tree that is over 8ft tall, and this is the first season it produced Seed Pods. I had NO idea the pods were so big!
