• Short Cycling: The furnace turns on and off constantly without completing a full heating cycle, often due to a dirty filter or tripped safety sensor.
• Higher Energy Bills: A sudden or steady jump in your heating costs means the system is losing efficiency.
• Unusual Odors: A musty or burning smell lingers past the first few days of the season, or you catch a dangerous rotten-egg gas smell.
• Discolored Flame: A flame that burns yellow or orange should be looked at to ensure it is not omitting carbon monoxide
