As we renew our liability insurance this year, we’re taking a moment to recognize something we’re proud of: 37 years without one single liability claim against Buckingham Resources.

Reliability, functionality, and aesthetics have guided our work from the beginning. This milestone reflects that commitment, along with the care and expertise of the trusted trade partners we’ve carefully chosen to be part of our team over the years.

There’s a lot happening at Rivershore — and even more going into making this home work.

Stonework continues across the exterior, while inside, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, framing and insulation are moving forward alongside continued coordination of lighting, technology and interior details.

We believe the best homes bring reliability, functionality and artistry together. Getting there takes close collaboration across every trade, system and design detail.

Much of what’s being built now will eventually be enclosed within the finished home, but its importance will be felt in how the home lives, functions and performs for years to come.

And from above, we’re getting a pretty incredible perspective on the progress.

What does a Buckingham Resources home built in 1994 look like 32 years later?

Remarkably, much like it did then.

This summer, we had the opportunity to revisit one of our original Broken Top custom home projects. Seeing so much of the home still as we remember it more than three decades later is a testament to how well it has been cared for—and to the quality of the craftsmanship and materials that went into building it.

Tom was one of seven original featured builders in Broken Top. Take a drive through the community and you’ll pass many Buckingham Resources homes along the way—a community we’re proud to continue building in today.

Revisiting the homes we’ve built is always meaningful!

A special reason to celebrate! 🌿

Last week, Tom and Kimberlee joined longtime friends Dave and Pam Snodgrass to celebrate a very special milestone — 70 years of 7 Dees.

Buckingham Resources’ history with Dave and Pam spans many years and more than six projects, from custom homes and remodels throughout Oregon to Nicaragua. Over the years, that working relationship has grown into a lasting friendship between both families.

That history extends to 7 Dees, too. Their team has worked alongside Buckingham Resources on many projects, including Dave and Pam’s residence. It was especially fun to spot their home among the work featured at the celebration — built by Buckingham Resources and surrounded by the landscape Dave and the 7 Dees team created.

Congratulations to the entire 7 Dees family and team on an incredible 70 years in business. A special Oregon legacy to celebrate!

Britt’s featured in this week’s Cascade Business News Women in Business issue, sharing how a career spanning sports, technology and now custom home building has had one pretty consistent thread: bringing someone else’s vision to life.

Seeing these two photos together in print makes this a pretty meaningful full-circle moment for Britt and Buckingham Resources.

In Tribute to Robert “Bob” Stalvey

Central Oregon has lost one of its most gifted and influential home designers.

Bob Stalvey, who recently passed away devoted more than 40+ years to designing extraordinary homes in Bend and throughout Oregon. His extraordinary work extended from Central Oregon to Lake Oswego and east to Joseph, leaving behind a remarkable collection of residences that rank among the finest in the region. We were truly honored to have worked with Bob.

Bob understood that exceptional home design is about far more than creating a beautiful structure. It is about respecting the land, and understanding how people live.

Through his talent and vision, Bob helped shape the character of luxury residential design in Central Oregon. His work will continue to stand as a lasting testament to his creativity, skill, and commitment to excellence.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and to everyone fortunate enough to have known and worked with him.
