A lot of people see flooring after it’s finished. What they don’t see is everything underneath that has to be fixed first.

This floor had sections failing and pulling apart, which means taking the time to tear it back, inspect what’s going on, and make sure the new install is done the right way. If the prep work isn’t solid, the finished floor won’t last no matter how good the material looks.

That’s the difference between just laying floor and actually building something that holds up.

Hardwood floors don’t have to stop at traditional shades of brown anymore. These darker greys and stone-inspired tones are becoming a huge trend for homeowners looking to give their space a cleaner, more modern feel without sacrificing warmth and character. ✨

Working with pet dammaged floors

Hey guys, TJ here with AWPM Floors & More.

In this project, we’re tying two separate rooms together with brand new hardwood flooring to create one clean, seamless look. What started as a simple flooring update turned into a full repair once we uncovered water damage in part of the floor.

That section had to be taken all the way down to the joists. From there, I rebuilt it the right way so we had a solid foundation to work off before installing the new hardwood.

I wanted to give you an inside look at how I approach jobs like this.
