Three Generations of Trusted Masonry Expertise

Preserving history across Southeast Nebraska — one stone at a time.

This historic stone entrance was literally falling apart. Years of deterioration and cracking had caused the original stonework to fail, and most contractors would have either replaced it with modern material or avoided the project altogether.

Instead, our senior mason carefully demoed the damaged stone and recreated this entire piece completely from scratch by hand.

That level of craftsmanship is becoming rare today. This is true old-world masonry — the kind of skill that takes decades to master and a deep respect for historic architecture to preserve properly.

At Van Winkle Masonry, our third-generation masonry company takes pride in restoring and preserving the historic beauty found throughout Southeast Nebraska. From intricate stone reconstruction to brick and masonry restoration, we are committed to keeping these timeless structures standing strong for future generations.

Recently the VanWinkle Masonry crew spent the better part of a day performing maintenance at the Beatrice Veterans Memorial.

The memorial had begun experiencing some water intrusion issues, and our crew was honored to step in and help protect and preserve this important landmark.

As a small thank you to the City of Beatrice, the Rotary Club of Beatrice, and most importantly the men and women who have served our country, this work was completed at NO CHARGE.

Our team was proud to donate our time, materials, and masonry expertise to help ensure the memorial remains strong and protected for many years to come.

As a third-generation masonry company, projects like this carry special meaning for us. Quality masonry work isn’t just about construction; it’s about preserving the places and monuments that matter most to our communities.

It was truly an honor for VanWinkle Masonry to play a small role in helping protect this tribute to our veterans.
