Electric Queen ⚜️

The second queen in my Mardi Gras Queen series.

She’s inspired by the fun, colorful strangers and friends I’ve seen celebrating in New Orleans, looking like works of art, themselves, in hand-crafted and intentionally pieced together outfits. Bright, bold colors, oversized earrings, vintage finds, wearable art, and the kind of confidence that turns the street into a runway. ✨👑

This is the first in a series of large Mardi Gras Queens I’ll be working on.

My hope for every person who sees or collects my art, is that it will bring them some form of joy and feeling of self-confidence.

The act of creating art has been and is healing for me, and the huge bonus I get from painting in front of my two daughters is getting to see how they react to the different paintings and hearing how they make them feel.

My oldest said this Queen reminds her of a peacock 🦚
She doesn’t chase, she attracts.
