from boots on the slab to the day we handed over the keys.

this is belle vista manor. i walked this site almost every day for months, and most of what makes it special you'll never see in a photo. the framing behind the walls. the details we reworked until they were right. the conversations on a tuesday afternoon that changed how a room feels.

then the dust settles, the staging goes in, and it all makes sense.

grateful to the family who trusted us with this one, and to every trade partner below who put their name on it with us.

almost there.

the windows got cleaned this week, and for the first time you can see what i've been talking about since day one. the inside and the outside reading as one space. you stand in the foyer and the view just keeps going.

that was the whole idea behind modern reflections. it's finally showing up.

grateful to the crew and every trade partner who got us here. not long now.

a door worth waiting on.

the homeowners wanted an oxidized finish, so we kept it wrapped and sent them a photo every single day. the moment they loved the color, we brought it inside and sealed it right there.

built by david cano with iron design, right here in baton rouge.

scaffolding up. crew on the boards. cast stone going in piece by piece around an entry cut for this house and no other.

then the scaffolding comes down, the live oak gets its view back, and the swing goes up.

reclaimed brick, copper gas lanterns, and a lot of hours most people will never see. grateful for the guys who put them in.

Project Aman.

white brick, black steel, and arches that hold the light long after the sun goes down.

out back, the pool runs right to the edge and hands the view off to the water. stepping stones walk you straight from the living room to the lounge chairs. the porch opens all the way up so inside and outside feel like one room. and the fire table sits right where the evening ends.

we spent a lot of time on the lines of this one. the ones you notice and the ones you don't.

grateful to the family who trusted us with it, and to the crew who sweated every detail.

Goodwood Manor

that rail was bent by hand to follow a curve we drew on the floor in chalk. every iron rosette lined up one at a time. fluted paneling wrapped underneath so the stair looks finished from every angle, even the ones nobody stands in.

the oak treads are the easy part. it's everything holding them up that separates the builders from the rest.

clean white lines, black steel windows, and a front entry that glows like it's been waiting for you to come home. out back, fire bowls spill into the pool, the lawn frames a path straight to a garage built to show off the collection, and a rooftop deck catches the last light over the oaks.

every detail here was a conversation. every finish was a choice. we're so grateful to the families who trust us to build the places where their best evenings happen.
