STORMY GULF - There's a lot of disturbed weather over the Gulf right now, but strong westerly wind shear is preventing any tropical development from occurring. That big red blob will move into Louisiana late week and weekend and enhance rain chances again.

GULF WATCH… it’s that time of year where every blob in the Gulf gets talked about. More times than not… nothing happens. Am I concerned with what I currently see out there? No. Will we have a developing or named storm late in the week… the chances aren’t zero but it’s highly unlikely in my opinion.
WHAT WILL WE LIKELY SEE? A sheared hot mess of tropical wind and rain… downpours and storms later this week starting Wednesday/Thursday thru the weekend for some of us along the Gulf Coast. Some coastal high tides and flash flooding possible. Impossible to say who will get what and where all this mess will come in at.
CURRENT FACTS… we have disturbed weather out there for sure… an upper level low spinning in the Gulf. The NHC hasn’t even tagged the area yet. Maybe they will… maybe they won’t 🤷🏽‍♂️ Models aren’t too excited about development either.
BOTTOM LINE… I don’t see anything too concerning or worth talking about that much.

The Gulf is serving up some suspiciously sketch vibes right now. A few sus clouds are loitering offshore like they forgot where they parked.

This little atmospheric freeloading feature is basically just going to sneak northward and keep rain chances elevated this week.
No tropical development expected. Something to watch though.

WATCHING THE GULF - a low will form off our coast over the next 24-48 hours. Wind shear remains high so tropical development will be minimal, however weather impacts can still be expected late week.

🌊 Persistent east wind to increase tides - coastal flooding
⛈️ Tropical rains rotate inland Thurs - Sat
The National Hurricane Center still isn’t highlighting this area but it’s going to be hard to ignore as it pulls itself together Wednesday and Thursday.
