During pregnancy, you're at a higher risk of developing complications if you get sick with viruses like COVID-19, RSV, or the flu. Staying up-to-date on your vaccinations is an important wav to protect yourself and your newborn.

Today, we provided clinicians with updated guidance that reinforces the importance of the COVID-19, RSV and flu vaccines for people who are pregnant or lactating during the 2026-27 respiratory virus season. These recommendations are based on the latest safety and efficacy data.

This week is an opportunity to celebrate Black families, honor the many different experiences of Black breastfeeding and chestfeeding, and recognize the importance of community, care, support, and representation.

This year’s theme from Black Breastfeeding Week (Black Breastfeeding Week), “We All We Got: 14 Years of Community, Care, and Collective Power,” feels especially meaningful. Here’s to continuing the conversation, sharing knowledge, and uplifting the people and communities doing this work. 🤱🏾👨🏿‍🍼
