🌞For the DIY homeowner and before You Call for AC Service, Try These Quick Checks! 🌞

Your air conditioner might just need a little TLC before you schedule a service call.

✅ Check your air filter — a dirty filter can cause poor cooling and high energy bills.

✅ Make sure your thermostat is set to COOL and the temperature is set below the current room temperature.

✅ Clear grass, leaves, and debris from around your unit. Even make sure your winter cover is off your outdoor unit.

✅ Check that all vents and registers are open and not blocked by furniture, rugs, etc.

✅ Look for water around your furnace or air handler that could indicate a clogged drain.

✅ If you see ice on refrigerant lines, turn the AC off and TURN the FAN setting to ON to thaw it out.

✅ Check your breaker panel to make sure the AC breaker hasn’t tripped or is in the off position.

If you’ve checked these items and your home still isn’t cooling properly, it may be time for a professional diagnosis.
