Every lake & pond loses a little bank every year. Most people don't notice until a few feet of it are gone...

Loading up this morning, headed out to a pond in Baldwin City, Kansas.

Big native limestone. Natural, native, and elegant. Set right, it outlives the people who put it in.

Limestone edging holds the bank instead of letting wave action chew it back a little more every year. You get a clean, dry, mowable border right to the water. No soft muddy lip, no cattails creeping in, no sinking a boot when you walk down to fish. It protects the water's edge and shoreline around the entire pond, and gives everyone safe footing wherever they walk down to it.

🤝 We often work alongside stone specialists and aquatic construction pros we proudly partner with, and we also build many in-house. On certain seawalls and retaining walls around ponds and lakes, we bring in licensed engineers when the design calls for it, or if you request it.

Duck season is coming | Your ground is either ready or it isn't.

Most hunters spend twenty years on somebody else's water... Then they buy the land and hunt a mudhole.

The difference isn't luck. It's design.

Water in the right place. Depth that holds the right wildlife. Flooded timber / habitat in all the right places. Proper water control systems. Shallows that grow food and attract waterfowl that come back. Wetlands that actually work in fall through winter... Not just on paper.

We design, repair, and build turn-key ponds, lakes, and wetlands that function how they're meant to. That's all we do.

Pond liner on-site install, or prefab (pre-made custom sizing) first? That call is where YOUR time and money get saved.

When we prefab a pond liner in the yard, we get flat ground and one straight run... No crew pacing up and down banks. No fighting slope while trying to hold a seam true.

Straighter lines, cleaner welds, easier on the operators and laborers doing the work.

Then we roll it, haul it, and set it... Often faster (and easier) than seaming the whole thing in place.

Same goes for lake liners. More acreage means more seams, and more seams means more reason to weld them on flat ground.

Having the manufacturer prefab it is a great option, and we'll take it when their queue is open. But custom-size geosynthetic lake and pond liners are often booked out a long way.

When that lead time doesn't work for your project, we build it ourselves and keep you moving.

We're always hunting for a better way to line ponds and lakes. New methods, new materials, new sequencing, if it saves the client time or money without sacrificing quality, we'll test it.

Prefabbing or ordering in custom sizing has turned out to be one of the good ones. It's now how we handle the majority of our pond and lake liners.

Parker, Kansas. | Transforming rural acreage into this soon-to-be private luxury waterfront golf resort. ⛳️ 🏝️

Our scope: taking an existing farm pond and rebuilding it into something far more upscale and enjoyable. Including:

➔ Fully waterproofed large pond liner system that holds water for generations.
➔ Waterfall feature built from native rock pulled right off this Kansas property.
➔ Colorado River Cobble rock spillway.
➔ Shoreline rock rdging & waterfront landscaping.
➔ Natural fish structure recycled on-site.

We're on site alongside Mid-America Golf & Landscape while they build irrigation systems and a private course, where the water's in play… a true forced carry, with the approach shot flying right over the pond we're transforming.

Pond Restoration After VS During Construction 🤯 Olathe, Kansas. | Community waterfront that had been quietly dying for years… Some ponds don’t just need a cleaning. They need their clock restarted…

BEFORE: Shallow and green. Choked with muck. Buried under overgrowth and algae. A narrow asphalt path crumbling at the edges.

NOW: Deep, clean, sparkling blue water. Structurally sound. Acreage reclaimed. Wide, accessible walking paths built to last.

Our scope:

→ Cleared the trees off the dam
→ Drained the pond
→ Removed years of accumulated sediment and muck
→ Restored the depth and footprint this waterfront was designed to have
→ Tore out the failing asphalt path
→ Rebuilt with riprap, new concrete sidewalk, and concrete pads — walking surface, foundation for entertainment space, and a place to actually stand and take in the view... All executed by our in-house team & local contractors.

** Huge credit to the directors and property managers here. They didn’t just approve a project… They carried a vision, and they’ve stayed on it: fish feeders, fountain, pond dye, a fast refill, ongoing maintenance. That involvement is the difference between a pond that just gets fixed and a pond that stays fixed and beautiful.

Fish are back. Wildlife’s visiting. Families are out on the path again.

This pond is the centerpiece of the community… The way it was always supposed to be.

Large Pond Makeover Transformation | Olathe, Kansas Community Waterfront.

BEFORE: Shallow, green pond, choked with muck, buried in overgrowth and algae, with a narrow, falling apart sidewalk.

NOW: Deep, clean, sparkling blue water. Structurally sound, restored pond, with reclaimed acreage, and accessible wide walking paths. This pond is built to hold life again. For both wildlife and people.

Our scope?: We cleared the trees off the dam, drained this pond, removed old sediment and muck, allowing us to restore the space and depths of this waterfront. Essentially restarting the clock on this pond’s life…

Old crumbling asphalt path? Gone. Now it’s riprap, a new concrete sidewalk, and concrete pads for walking, foundation for the entertainment spaces, and overall enjoying this new view made possible by our in-house team and our contractors. Including local collaboration on concrete with American Brothers Hardscapes

Was Building a Private Lake Worth It? He Answers Honestly 1 Year Later... We went back to Michael’s lake, bringing you back his experience and to view performance a year later. | Family Enjoyment Lake with Private Trophy-Class Fishing in North-West Arkansas… The place that Michael and his family, friends, and dogs could return to for generations. —

Our team was hired to design and build this lake, alongside fisheries experts at Midwest Lake Management, Inc, who played an important role in this lake's professional fishery strategy, setup, and management.

Nearly 7 acres of pristine, deep water reaching 25 feet, shaped from untouched ground and filled completely by nature just 18 days after construction wrapped. Flooded timber was thoughtfully preserved to create natural structure for fish and waterfowl. Custom stocking strategy and habitat were engineered beneath the surface. Now, this striking lakefront view greets the family the moment they reach the driveway... The first of several projects we've had the privilege of creating for their family. 🩵
