Hello my gardening friends! It’s been quite a while since my last farmers market, so wanted to let everyone know that I’ll be at the awesome DeSoto Farmers Market this Saturday from 8-noon. I still have some very nice plants looking for a new home and this time of year is perfect for planting perennials and getting them off to a strong start before the cold weather sets in. As you might expect, many of the plants are past their absolute prime from earlier in the year, but all are very healthy with many already showing good basal sprouts ready to take off in the spring! Plants I’ll have include columbine, anemone, helenium, yarrow, Veronica, french lavender, lemon thyme, dwarf goldenrod, geum, aster, various sedums, bearded iris, and small shasta daisies.
As a bonus, my wife Sue has added some unique items that you really need to see. First, she has created several beautiful dried flower bouquet bundles wrapped in decorative tissue paper! I can say I helped because I grew the flowers! She also created some beautiful fabric-covered, embellished journals/notebooks with front and back cover pockets and a unique collage on the first page of each book. Believe me, they are all amazing and very beautiful….like her! So please do come on out this Saturday. Look forward to being back at the market!
