Well, the freeloaders finally got EVICTED! 🐀👋

Only one problem… THEY LEFT THE PLACE LOOKING LIKE A FRAT HOUSE AFTER SPRING BREAK! 🤢💩

That's where Cooler Green Solutions got the call!

Our crew rolled into Jonestown, right between Lago Vista and Austin near beautiful Lake Travis, to handle the aftermath.

And let me tell you… these tenants weren't getting their security deposit back! 😂

We performed a complete attic insulation vacuum removal, clearing out rodent-contaminated insulation, droppings, nesting materials, and all the disgusting souvenirs these unwanted guests left behind.

💪 The rats handled the eviction. We handled the destruction they left behind!

🔥 84°F IN A TEXAS ATTIC… AND ONLY 48% HUMIDITY?! 😳

🏠 ICF WALLS + SPRAY FOAM ROOFLINE = ONE SERIOUS BUILDING ENVELOPE
We just wrapped up another spray foam insulation project in Briarcliff, TX, right outside Spicewood near Lake Travis.
This house was already built with ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) walls, so the exterior walls had a great start. Our job was to finish the top of the building envelope.
We applied NCFI open-cell spray foam insulation to the roofline, sealing and insulating the lid of the home.

🔥 111°F WHERE IT SHOULDN’T BE — AND THE THERMAL CAMERA FOUND IT.

This Tarrytown, Austin homeowner called Cooler Green Solutions because they were fighting humidity problems inside their home, even though their attic had already been spray foamed.

Once we inspected the attic, we found the problem.

The old insulation wasn’t properly removed before the spray foam installation. Insulation left packed down at the eaves prevented those critical areas from being accessed and properly sealed.

📸 Look at the thermal images. We measured surface temperatures reaching approximately 111°F around the problem area. That bright yellow/white section is exactly what caught our attention.

Here’s something homeowners need to know:

Spray foam alone doesn't guarantee a conditioned attic.

The removal, preparation, air sealing, foam thickness, and transitions at the eaves all have to work together to create a continuous building envelope. Miss one critical area and Austin's heat and humid outdoor air can find the weak spot.

Now Cooler Green Solutions is going back in to remove what should have been removed, gain access to the eaves, and properly seal the areas that were missed.

And we're not stopping with a "trust us."

💦 SPRAY FOAM CAUSED MY HUMIDITY PROBLEM!

Here’s something homeowners should know BEFORE spray foam ever touches the roof deck:

Spray foam doesn’t always create a humidity problem — sometimes it exposes one that was already there.

An older, leaky attic can hide a lot of problems because air is constantly moving through cracks, vents and gaps. Once we properly air-seal the attic, problems with the home’s HVAC or moisture management can suddenly become much more noticeable.

Some of the things we look for BEFORE foaming include:

🏠 When your roof is basically your walls, you insulate the BIG triangle.

This unique Austin-area home uses the roofline as its exterior walls, so our spray foam insulation installation had to do more than simply fill cavities.

We installed 8 inches of open-cell spray foam throughout the roofline, then used closed-cell spray foam around the subfloor and rim joists to help create a tighter, more energy-efficient building envelope.

The tricky part? Ductwork occupied most of several cavities. Since insulation and ductwork can’t occupy the same space, we installed 2 inches of closed-cell spray foam behind the ducts to maintain insulation coverage and help reduce the risk of condensation.

Different areas. Different foam. One continuous thermal envelope.
