There’s more than one way to install a WRB (tape, peel-and-stick, fluid-applied, etc). We went with a liquid-applied on this one, but the product was never the hard part. The details are. Penetrations, corners, transitions, that’s where installs actually succeed or fail. The best product, installed wrong, still fails.

Flow testing is where design gets validated in the field.

In this one-minute test, two valves are opened and the system discharges into calibrated containers while a certified fire inspector observes. After 60 seconds, the collected volume is measured to confirm actual performance.

Design flow: 40 GPM
Measured flow: 45 GPM

How do you handle complex ductwork in flat roof conditions?

Engaging a mechanical engineer early in the design process is paramount to a successful project where the architecture limits space and access for mechanicals. It’s also extremely helpful to have their continued engagement (along with the architecture team) during construction to ensure any issues in the field are addressed properly without damage to the structural, mechanical, or architectural design.
