🎗️ Rocktober Spotlight: Cancer Pathways 💚

Our next DaBella Cares x Rocktober spotlight this week is Cancer Pathways, a Seattle-based nonprofit that has been walking alongside people affected by cancer since 2001.

Cancer Pathways provides free support groups, education programs, and community resources for people with cancer, caregivers, family members, and friends in Washington and virtually nationwide. Their programs include support groups, youth and family programs, cancer education, to***co cessation resources, and more.

With more than half a million lives touched, Cancer Pathways continues to create spaces where people can find connection, strength, and hope throughout their cancer journey.

Meet Will 🔥

Will’s DaBella journey has been about growing with every new opportunity. After starting out supporting Canvass Operations with reporting and data, he took on a new challenge when the team began managing its fleet. The added responsibility gave him the chance to work with outside vendors and build his Excel skills even further.

Now, he’s putting those skills to work in another way: teaching them to others. Will recently led Excel trainings for both the HR and Canvass teams, something he’s especially proud of.
His biggest takeaway? Good leadership gives you the support to grow and become a leader yourself.

🎗️ Rocktober Spotlight: Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative 💚

This week, DaBella Cares is shining a light on the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative (WBCI), an organization working to increase breast cancer awareness, prevention, and access to care across Wyoming.

Since 2016, WBCI has partnered with hospitals, public health organizations, and breast cancer support groups to help meet the needs of communities across the state. Their work helps provide access to breast screenings, diagnostic testing, patient navigation, counseling, breast boutique services, and other resources for those facing breast cancer.

We’re proud to feature the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative as part of DaBella Cares x Rocktober and recognize the important work they’re doing to help make breast health resources more accessible across Wyoming.

Based in Idaho, Camp Magical Moments offers a free oncology camp for children who have or have had cancer, along with programs designed to support siblings and parents, too. Their goal is simple: to give families a place for fun, friendship, connection, and a chance to make magical memories together.

We’re proud to feature Camp Magical Moments as part of DaBella Cares x Rocktober and recognize the meaningful work they do for families facing childhood cancer.

🔥 MEET ZOHRA

Sometimes a casual application can turn into something much bigger. Since joining DaBella, Zohra has grown into People leadership and taken on opportunities to improve processes, support leaders, and create a better employee experience.

One of her proudest accomplishments has been bringing more structure to employee relations, from new tracking and reporting to investigation training and standardized processes.

Her advice? Stay curious, ask questions, learn from your mistakes, and don't be afraid to take ownership.

Back in August, the DaBella team was invited to attend the Seahawks Training Camp at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center.

We had the chance to meet fans, talk roofs, and soak up the Pacific Northwest sunshine. As the Official Roofing and Siding Partner of the Seattle Seahawks, we love getting to be part of days like this. Nothing beats connecting with our neighbors and fellow 12s outside of the usual gameday setting.
