Even a small flaw can shorten the life of a roof.
While installing this roof a couple months back, our crew noticed a few shingles weren't laying flat. We wanted this homeowner to get the long-lasting roof they paid for — so we flagged it to the manufacturer and our supplier right away and stayed on it until we found the real cause. Turned out our supplier had stacked the pallets too high — the weight left an indentation that kept them from sitting right. Even after a few hot Texas summer days, they never laid flat.
We didn't wait for the homeowner to notice. We pulled the affected sections, tore back to the deck, laid fresh underlayment, and replaced it the right way — new chalk lines, proper nailing, no shortcuts. At no cost to the homeowner.
