🌿 IF THE RIVER KNOWS — an original song 🌿

I’ve been feeling a really strong pull lately to share more of my original music. I love so many of the creative things I get to do, but songwriting has a different place in my heart. There are things I feel called to say through music, and I think it’s time I stop waiting for the “perfect” moment to say them.

If the River Knows came from thinking about how noisy our human world can be. So many voices. So many opinions. So much information telling us what to think, what to fear, and what deserves our attention.

And then you step outside.

The river keeps moving. The trees reach toward the light. The seasons know when to change. The birds know where to go. There is an order, a rhythm, and a kind of divinity in nature that doesn’t need to announce itself. It simply is.

Sometimes I wonder if nature remembers something we’ve forgotten.

This is If the River Knows. 🌊🌿
An original song by me. I hope you’ll listen, and if it speaks to you, I’d love for you to share it.

P.S. I’m also looking for a producer who connects with my sound and message to help me professionally produce a few original singles. If that’s you—or someone comes to mind—I’d love to connect. 🤍

Sometimes another artist creates something and you look at it and think…

No notes. 👏😂🎃

This pumpkin design was inspired by Making Faces by Cameron, and I loved the original concept so much that I painted it during my TikTok Live.

One of my favorite things about the face-painting community is how much inspiration, education and creativity gets passed between artists. We learn from each other, put brushes to faces, and keep the creativity moving. 🎨🧡

Thank you Cameron for creating this beauty — I already know I want to pull this one out on the job this Halloween season!

🌙🦋 Lunar Moth Face Painting Tutorial

One of the coolest things about being an artist for a long time is realizing that you never actually “arrive.”

I’ve been face painting professionally for about a decade, and I’m STILL learning. Still experimenting. Still finding faster ways to work, better techniques, new color combinations and completely different ways of approaching a face.

And honestly? I hope that never stops.

One of my favorite parts of this industry has become sharing what I’ve learned with other artists — because so much of my own growth came from watching, learning from and connecting with other painters.

I’ll be teaching again this November at the Austin Convention for Entertainers (ACE), including Speed Painting, Mobile Face Painting, Hair Tinsel and some of the little tricks I’ve learned along the way to make this crazy creative career actually WORK. 🎨

But for today… let’s paint a lunar moth. 🌙✨

Sometimes the arm becomes the canvas. 🌺🌈✨

I LOVE when someone gives me enough space to really let a design grow. A little rainbow, florals, highlights, sparkle… and suddenly we’re wearing a whole tiny piece of art.

Face painting doesn’t always have to stay on the face. 😉🎨

Would you wear something like this?

WOO!! 🌈🐉 This little rainbow dragon was SO sweet.

But while editing this video I realized that apparently I woke up that morning and took an EXTRA dose of confidence. 😂

You know when you’re working and suddenly you’re like:

“Oh yeah. I absolutely know what I’m doing.” 🎨😂

Maybe a little too much confidence… but LOOK AT HIM!! The rainbow dragon came through. 🌈🔥

Painted at a birthday party here in North Austin, Texas. 💕

Painting in Montmartre just hits differently. 🥹🇫🇷🎨

On our last night in Paris, we were absolutely EXHAUSTED from the trip, but I couldn’t leave without pulling out my paints one more time.

So there I was at a little café in Montmartre, surrounded by one of the most iconic artist neighborhoods in the world, painting my sister’s face while my family hung out around me. ❤️

Not a lot of conversation in this one because we were running on fumes 😂 — but this is one of those little memories I’m really glad I captured.

Design inspiration credited in the video. 💕

When you’re the face painter but you also want to be painted. 😂🌸🎨

Just casually showing off my arm art because sometimes I spend all day making everybody ELSE colorful and then think…

Wait. I want some too. 😂

Forever happiest when I’m covered in flowers, color and paint. 🌈🌺

Wait for the little jump… 🕷️❤️

One tiny Spider-Girl ➡️ one SUPER transformation.

I will never get tired of the moment a kid sees themselves after getting painted. Sometimes they get shy, sometimes they stare at themselves in complete silence… and sometimes we need a superhero jump to make it official. 😂

Just another day in the life of a face painter. 🎨

Paris taught me something I genuinely wasn’t expecting… 🇫🇷🎨

Face painting seems to be SO much less common in France than what I’m used to here in Texas!

I painted my own face one afternoon in a park in Paris, and I kept catching little kids staring at me. 😂 One French woman stopped me to tell me how beautiful it was, and when we started talking, she told me that face painting is actually pretty rare there.

And HAIR TINSEL?! I searched for it and couldn’t find it anywhere. 😂✨

I had all these dreams of painting faces around Paris, but between sightseeing, celebrating my parents and soaking up the trip, there just wasn’t enough time. I did manage to break out my paints at Disneyland and Montmartre though — including painting my sister, brother-in-law and my handsome fiancé. 🥹

Maybe next trip I need to go to France specifically to PAINT. 🎨✈️
