A simple fireplace wall with a little more detail.

We built out the surround, added the stained wood trim and finished it off with clean lines to give the wall some character without making it feel too busy.

Small details make a big difference in a finished space.

The finished photos get all the attention. This is where the real work happens. 🔨
Opening things up, working through the details, coordinating the trades, and putting everything back together the right way.
There’s a lot that happens between demolition day and the final walkthrough — and this is the part of construction we live in every day.
Another renovation underway in Denver.

What’s the pressure-treated 2x4 for? 🔨
When framing against concrete, you don’t want standard untreated lumber sitting directly against the slab where moisture can become an issue.
Here we’re fastening a pressure-treated bottom plate to the concrete using a powder-actuated fastening tool before continuing the wall framing.
A small detail that eventually gets covered up — but doing the work behind the walls correctly is what matters.

A little contrast goes a long way.
Warm wood, matte black finishes, clean white surfaces, and a touch of green tile gave this bathroom its own character without overcomplicating the design.
Sometimes the details are what completely change a space.

There’s nothing better than seeing a project come together.

Every great lawn starts long before the first roll of sod is laid. Proper prep, grading, installation, and attention to detail are what separate a lawn that looks good for a week from one that thrives for years.

For this backyard, we completed a full sod installation to give the homeowners a fresh, clean outdoor space they can enjoy immediately.

At Athena’s Construction, we believe every project deserves the same level of care—whether it’s landscaping, a bathroom remodel, or a full home renovation.
