A collaboration four years in the making -
Years ago, while shopping in a needlepoint shop with her sister, Kat shared her dream of turning some of her artwork into stitched pieces. In 2022, she reached out to Katie of Augusta Needlepoint to explore which paintings could be transformed into hand-painted needlepoint canvases.
Katie loved the idea, and the two began bringing the collaboration to life. Sadly, the project was underway at the time of Kat’s passing, but both teams felt honored to continue what Kat and Katie so beautifully started together.
Introducing the Kat McCall Papers x Augusta Needlepoint collaboration, bringing together two beloved art forms: watercolor and needlepoint.
The collection consists of three canvases featuring original Kat McCall artwork: the Easter Cross, Printemps Pattern, and Camellia Pattern. All are available at Augusta Needlepoint and on augustaneedlepoint.com.
Coordinating stationery and additional products are also available through Kat McCall Papers on their website.
To celebrate the collaboration, Augusta Needlepoint is hosting a Ribbon Retreat featuring the Easter Cross canvas, taught by Stefanie Chase.
