Another Door Installation Project Complete!

This project included installing multiple new doors, including one installation that required cutting a brand-new opening through brick and cinderblock to create a dedicated fire escape exit.

From precise masonry cutting and structural preparation to setting the door, flashing, and finishing the opening, every detail had to be handled correctly to ensure a clean, secure, and properly finished installation.

Projects like this are a great example of how we approach every job at Tekton Carpentry — solving the challenges that come with each project while delivering a finished product that looks great and is built to last.

Our Project at 24 Park Ave is a great example of what’s possible with the right vision, craftsmanship, and a whole lot of hard work.

When we started, this home had extensive exterior damage and years of deterioration. What looked like a simple renovation quickly became a much larger restoration project—requiring structural repairs, rebuilding, and attention to the details that keep an older home standing strong.

We carefully rebuilt and repaired the damaged areas, installed new windows and doors, reconstructed the exterior, added new siding and trim, and brought the entire home back together with a fresh, cohesive look.

The transformation speaks for itself.

From the first picture to the second—this isn’t just a facelift. It’s a complete transformation and a whole lot of craftsmanship behind the scenes.

We still have a little way to go. so stay tuned because this is only going to get better!

🏗️ Exciting Things Are Happening at Morrison Plumbing & Heating! 🔧

We’re excited to share some big progress on our new 50' x 50' shop!

A huge THANK YOU to Tekton Carpentry for doing an awesome job framing up the new building. We appreciate all the hard work that has gone into getting us to this point and are excited to watch everything continue to come together.

This new shop is a big step forward for Morrison Plumbing & Heating, giving us more room to grow, stay organized, and better serve our customers and community.

We just wrapped up the framing on this 50’ x 50’ shop, for Morrison Plumbing & Heating featuring a second-story apartment on one side.

From the foundation up, this project is taking shape exactly as planned. The large open shop space provides plenty of room for equipment, storage, and projects, while the second floor adds a fully separate living space above one side of the building.

A big structure like this takes careful planning, precise layout, and solid framing—and seeing it fully framed is a great milestone.

We’ve been busy in Minot constructing a 50x50 Two story shop with a 480 sq ft apartment on the second floor. First floor walls are 12’ with a drop on the right elevation to accommodate a second story with a “piggyback” style Truss. Today we completed second story wall framing, and this one is moving quick so far!

A recent door replacement project featuring both interior and exterior upgrades.

We installed a new full-glass interior door along with a new exterior entry door, completing the exterior with a custom trim package designed for both durability and a clean, finished appearance.

The exterior door received metal-wrapped jambs for a low-maintenance, weather-resistant finish. We also custom fabricated a one-piece PVC door trim package on site, allowing us to achieve precise fits and seamless corners around the opening.

Every detail was carefully measured, fabricated, and installed to create a professional finished product that will stand up to the elements for years to come.

Another basement transformation coming together! We took an underutilized basement area and turned it into a comfortable additional bedroom, full bathroom, and spacious walk-in closet—adding valuable living space without expanding the footprint of the home.

The walk-in closet features custom-built shelving designed to maximize storage and keep everything organized.

For safety and code compliance, we also cut a new egress window through the concrete foundation wall, bringing in natural light while providing a proper emergency exit.

We’re getting close to the finish line! The shelving still needs to be painted, and carpet will be installed soon to complete the space.

Smart renovations aren’t always about adding more square footage—they’re about making the most of the space you already have.

This entryway features a hand-laid marble mosaic, carefully installed to complement the character and craftsmanship of the original home. Creating a timeless floor that feels right at home in a house with history.
