Since 1997, Vertical Earth has partnered with both public and private clients to construct civil and structural improvements throughout the Southeast. We are a licensed GA General Contractor, GA Utility Contractor and are a GDOT prequalified Prime Contractor. To accomplish our overarching goal of gaining respect from our clients, we navigate aggressive schedules, highly sensitive sites, and complex designs. We feel each project has unique needs that are best controlled by seasoned staff accustomed to working with one another in familiar elements. Vertical Earth’s approach towards value and quality have successfully gained the trust of both new and repeat clients. We have both, a platform where experience, knowledge, and skills are invested internally for professional growth which benefits our clients downstream. We have teams focused on all facets of transportation, civil, and structural projects. From preconstruction to project close-out, our veteran staff provides our clients a quality end product, both from a project coordination and management level, as well as with strong field leadership.

Yesterday we celebrated the retirement of Dennis Castleberry, one of our dedicated Transportation Superintendents, after more than 13 years with Vertical Earth.

Since joining the company in 2013, Dennis has played an important role in the success of countless projects and has been a respected leader in the field. His hard work, commitment, and experience have left a lasting impact on our team and the people he has worked alongside throughout the years.

Dennis, thank you for your contributions, leadership, and the example you have set throughout your career with Vertical Earth. We are grateful for everything you have done and wish you nothing but happiness, good health, and success as you begin this exciting new chapter.

Congratulations on your retirement, Dennis. You have certainly earned it!

A meaningful visit and an exciting look ahead for Vertical Earth.

We were honored to welcome José Manuel Entrecanales Domecq, Chairman and CEO of ACCIONA, to Vertical Earth, where he met with our associates and shared more about ACCIONA—its global capabilities, values, and long-term commitment to building sustainable infrastructure.

José Manuel spoke about the importance of ACCIONA’s acquisition of Vertical Earth and the opportunity it creates by combining our local expertise, strong relationships, and talented team with the resources and experience of a global infrastructure leader.

He also shared his perspective on the future of infrastructure construction in the United States—one defined by significant investment, increasingly complex projects, innovation, and the need for experienced teams that can deliver safely, efficiently, and responsibly.

Today, Vertical Earth announced that ACCIONA intends to acquire a majority ownership stake in our company. Brett Johnson will retain a minority ownership interest and continue as CEO.

This is an important milestone for Vertical Earth and a strong reflection of the company our team has built. ACCIONA recognizes the strength of our people, our relationships, our technical expertise, and our track record of delivering for clients and partners.

Through this transaction, Vertical Earth will gain access to expanded resources, broader technical capabilities, and new opportunities for growth, while continuing to provide the local knowledge, client focus, and commitment to ex*****on that define who we are.

Until the transaction closes, Vertical Earth and ACCIONA will continue to operate independently, and business will continue as usual for our employees, clients, partners, vendors, and subcontractors.

We are proud of what our team has built and excited about the opportunities this next chapter will create.
