Clothes moths can damage carpet and other natural fiber materials in your hone. The adults which fly don't do the damage. It is the larva that damage the items.

When buying a home it is important to have a WDIR inspection done. You never know what is under the house. The screwdriver is in a support team holding up the floor. Termites have damaged it.

We have received several calls from people who have told us that there is a company offering thermal heat treatments in the Atlanta area and their target temp is 160 degrees. This temp is too high for a home. It will cause damage the blinds, flooring, and other items. The research shows that 140 degrees should be the limit. The only reason to go that high is try and shorten the hold time. The company then can be done quicker instead of spending the time needed. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about thermal heat treatments.
