For you a free Roofing tip!!!!! With the constant damp rainy weather of the last few days. You might find yourself looking at your ceiling and seeing a damp spot. It doesn’t necessarily mean you have an active leak and need a roofer. Do yourself a favor, run outside and look up If you see a pile of leaves over or near the damp spot that is most likely the issue. When leaves get bunches up on your roof the leaves will hold onto the water and keep that area wet. Over a few days like this, your roof will become saturated and you could see a leak. Simply clean those leaves off and your leak should go away.
If there is a stain on your ceiling you can use a diluted bleach solution. Spray the spot and give the bleach time to draw the brown out. If it doesn’t diminish enough grab a roller and paint the area. Be sure to not only paint the spot but paint 12-18 inches around it as well. This helps blend the new paint in to the current coating.
Good luck if you find yourself with a bigger issue or just want us to double check, inspections and knowledge sharing is always free.
