Previous Customer - “I have water coming out of my ceiling”

Me - “Ok turn off your system and if your capable to inspect the source do so”

Upon arrival I find a brand new unit, mind you this customer has used me for service in the past on their older systems. This system was brand new and I never revived a phone call for an estimate to replace. I found this strange so I asked a few questions as to why I wasn’t presented the opportunity to provide a quote for replacement. The kind of beat around the bush and stated that they had some sort of handy man performing some work and he mentioned he could replace their unit as apparently it was having a problem at the same time he was performing work.

This customer tried reaching out for them to fix this problem but the “handyman” never returned the phone calls. Imagine that……

As you can see in the photos the gentleman that installed this evaporator coil clearly didn’t know what he was doing as he did not knock out the drain knockout for the unit to drain, but however hooked the drain line up as if it would drain…..I’m not saying he was a cheaper option but the pictures presumably speak for themselves.

It’s always best to do your due diligence and hire a licensed and insured contractor when having large projects performed in your home. Fortunate for this customer we know what we are doing and got this problem resolved for them.

Never the call you want to receive 🤦🏽‍♂️ New system not working. Upon arrival found tripped breaker for the Air Conditioner. Upon inspection this is what was discovered 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

New compressor, wiring harness, contactor, and capacitor and this customer is back in business!
