Due to the increasing fees on Etsy I’ve come to the decision that I am going to close my Etsy shop. This has been a hard decision because I only ever sell commissions and the other hand made items I make through Etsy due to a lack of traffic and attention to my other social media and pages.

This does not mean I won’t be doing art anymore, just that I have to change the location where I sell the items I make. I’m currently making a google form for people who want to contact me about commissions. I’m also updating my Patreon and Ko-Fi to make them more suitable for people who want to support me and my art.

Growing up my mom would tell us stories of Fairies that lived in the mushrooms and flowers that grew outside our home, and I remember those stories being my favorite and I would always tread carefully to avoid destroying the fairy homes.

So have a take on what fairies might look like if they were real.

Jessamine Willowspring, Queen of Dawngarden, The Dawnbringer, High Lord of the Sun Court and Consort of the (future) God of Victory.

“I am Jessamine Willowspring, princess of Dawngarden, and I will raise the sun. I repeat in my head over and over again until I am absolutely sure that it is true.

The great hall is silent, that is my que, I begin to raise my hands slowly, I’ve only ever watched my father do this so I am not even sure that I am doing it right as I focus on the process which it must take to raise the sun into the sky. I clear my mind of any doubt, and fear that I won’t succeed, and I feel a sort of warm magic begin to work its way through my body, from the tips of my fingers to my feet.

I am Jessamine Willowspring, princess of Dawngarden, and I will raise the sun.

I feel a sort of resistance as I raise my hands into the air, one that feels warm, perhaps even hot, but I do not mind it to greatly as I raise my hands even against the resistance. And like a warm knife through butter, I feel the resistance give in. I feel the warmth of sunlight on my skin, and I am vaguely aware of the patterns of light coursing the shapes of sunflowers over my arms, strands of my hair become golden with sunshine as well.

I am Jessamine Willowspring, princess of Dawngarden, and I will raise the sun.

When my arms are fully extended over my head, I feel myself draw in a breath and I blink, turning around to the audience. The strands of my hair that had glowed with sunlight dimmed and the marks of sunlight which had coursed all over my body faded along with them.

I am Jessamine Willowspring, princess of Dawngarden, and I am the dawn bringer.”

Enjoy the excerpt from Jessamine’s Diary, hopefully one day it will be a book for all to read and enjoy the story of these characters just as much as I have enjoyed being able to be a play my character and have a part in the story.
