I am a landscape designer with more than 20 years of experience in the landscape industry. I have created one of kind multifunctional designs for the likes of Food Network Star Alton Brown while also developing dynamic, innovative, and cost-effective landscape concepts for neighborhood associations, commercial enterprises such as IHOP, and individual landowners throughout the Atlanta area. o starting my own business in 2001, I worked for Home Depot for many years building home shows and drawing scaled architectural landscape blueprints. In my business, I often oversaw crews during installations of my designs. As a landscape designer with Hastings Landscape & Design Group, I conducted design consultations with several hundred residential and commercial clients and sold approximately three-quarters of a million dollars of my designs in two years. My talents range from being able to draw professional landscape designs freehand on-site to sculpting unusual shapes out of shrubs to being able to design and convert 2D plans to 3D. As an artist who graduated with honors and the best portfolio award from the Atlanta Art Institute with a degree in landscape design, I can paint as well as I can sketch and draw. I have supplemented my landscape designer degree with a GGIA state certification as a plant professional. Additionally, I am a Georgia Master Gardener. In 2012, I turned my focus to furthering my education and skills by obtaining a drafting certificate and am in the last stages of earning an associate’s degree in drafting technology from Georgia Piedmont Technical College. Depending on the clients’ needs and the dream they have for their outdoor living space, I can do various types of stonework; build walkways, fountains, ponds, seating, and fire pits; create paintings on outdoor objects and artistic plant designs; or just install some beautiful plants that properly placed will save the clients money on their energy bills. I have designed and installed all sizes and styles of landscape designs. I enjoy and have experience in every step of the landscape design process from the initial consultation to using my hands to construct and install my innovative design concepts.
