Design Tip: Elevating Your Bathroom Remodel 🪞✨

A truly custom look comes down to the subtle details! In this Johns Creek bathroom project, the way the vanity mirrors overlap the tile backsplash adds a sophisticated, tailored touch.

How do you get this seamless look?
• The mirrors need to be "furred out"—building custom blocking behind the wall surface so the glass clears the lip of the tile backsplash.
• Precise measurements ensure the vanity, tile, and mirrors align cleanly without awkward gaps.

Paying attention to these small ex*****on details behind the scenes makes all the difference in a completed space.

What design detail is on your must-have list for a bathroom upgrade? Let us know in the comments below! 👇

Maximizing Bathroom Space

We made the most of every inch in this Johns Creek bathroom remodel! To maximize efficiency we:

• Designed a 3 foot by 4 foot shower layout to leave dedicated space for custom slim cabinetry directly next to it.
• Built a seamless storage system featuring a bottom hamper, two drawers, and a upper cabinet.
• Installed a marble mosaic accent wall, visible through a frameless clear glass shower enclosure.

Slide through the photos to see how the veining in the large-format wall slabs perfectly complements the mosaic tile!

It's Meet the Team Monday again! Please say hello to Project Manager Christopher Rodriguez! 👋

Chris's passion for building started at a young age while helping his dad around the house, working on entire home additions from start to finish. After high school, he gained hands-on experience in the concrete industry before earning his degree in Construction Management in 2022.

As a Project Manager, Chris wants clients to know just how detail-oriented he is — if you ever have a question or concern, he is always just a phone call away.

He deeply connects with Innovative’s Core Value of "Consideration," always keeping the needs and feelings of others top of mind.

When he’s not on the job site, Chris loves spending time with family in his hometown of Riverdale, Georgia, exploring hiking trails, or diving into new hobbies.

New on the blog! 🏡

This Atlanta home had so much initial charm, but the landscape needed an upgrade to match its beautiful architecture.

During this renovation, we:

Installed a custom new garage

Replaced the front walk & porch floor with natural bluestone

Repaved the driveway & built a new Belgian paver parking court

Created smooth connections between the parking area, garage, entry, and backyard living spaces

Our Johns Creek clients wanted to spend more time outside, so we gave them new spaces built to maximize outdoor living all year round! 🏡🔥

With options for sun, shade and fire, their new covered patio, fire pit patio, and deck will carry them comfortably through the shoulder seasons.

A Tale of Two Cookie Deliveries! 🍪✨

At Innovative Design•Build, taking care of our clients is top priority, but keeping their neighbors happy is just as important! We know home renovations come with extra noise, trucks, and hustle, so we work hard to keep neighborhood disruptions to an absolute minimum.

Delivery #1: The sweet neighbor-courtesy bags of cookies delivered right to nearby doors by our Project Developer, Meghan Berry! 🍪👋

Delivery #2: A homemade batch sent to us recently from a grateful client to let us know just how much her family STILL loves their kitchen ... 20 years after we renovated it! ❤️

Building great spaces as well as great relationships is what we do best.

Don't be afraid to go bold in a small powder room! 🎨✨

These tiny spaces are real jewel boxes — they have the power to surprise and delight your guests while bringing a smile to your face every single day.

For a recent design proposal presentation, we presented our clients with two distinct directions:
🌿 A soft green botanical concept
💙 An abstract, bold blue and cream concept

Both options featured furniture-like vanities in natural wood finishes paired with classic nickel accents.

Design Tip: A powder room is also the perfect spot to add flair with a unique mirror! In both concepts, we selected mirrors with graceful curves to complement hardware with timeless traditional lines. 🪞✨

Which design direction would you choose for your home—soft botanical or bold blue? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Sometimes our clients' pets completely steal the show during a photoshoot! 🐱✨

We love how this pantry space turned out, but who could blame this handsome orange cat for wanting to be the main event?

Design Highlights:
💙 Custom navy blue cabinetry
✨ Warm brass hardware
📋 -worthy open shelving & layout
