The issue with hiring a tree company is everyone who thinks they can crank a chainsaw now thinks they can start a tree business.
The issue is, tree removal techniques are not as simple as it may seem. It takes years of experience to learn the most important thing. Never take shortcuts.
This is what happens when you hire the cheap guy!
Joshua Tree Service is a 2nd generation tree company that has been in the industry for over 41 years. We know what we are doing!

EDIT/UPDATE: Thank yโall for the advice. Weโre taking further measures and doing everything we can. She did reach out, but when we asked for her information, she instead requested payment and then stopped responding again. Weโre following the advice youโve given us and keeping everything documented.
Hi everyone. I usually don't make posts like this or speak negatively about a business, especially because I've been on the other side of being part of a family business. However, after what happened, I feel it's important to share our experience and warn others because this became a serious safety issue.
We hired Pink Lady Trees / His & Hers Tree (Pink Trees) Cutting to remove a tree from our property. We trusted them because we knew Meredith the owner through a family friend and believed they had the experience to safely complete the job. Their business also advertised that they were insured, which gave us additional confidence in hiring them.
Unfortunately, while the tree was being removed, it fell onto our house and our neighbor's property.
When we heard the thump of something falling, we went outside believing we would see the tree on the ground. Instead, we saw that it had fallen onto the houses, and we were shocked and scared. What upset us even more was that the workers did not immediately check on us or our neighbors to make sure everyone was okay. Instead, they stood around. When we asked whether they had checked on the neighbors, they looked at each other, seemed confused, and said someone should do that. Not one of them went to check. My partner had to run over and check on our neighbors' safety. This tree could have seriously injured or even killed someone.
Meredith told us she would return with additional workers and equipment to handle the situation. She left, but she has not followed through. We have repeatedly tried contacting her for the past three days. I waited this long because I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and allow her time to respond. However, I reached out again this morning regarding the damage and their insurance information, she read my message but still has not responded.
In the middle of all this, I want to sincerely thank Chase Konnecke, Roof Smith, Jones Customs & Trees and Five Star Tree Service, and everyone else who came out to help us. They came at the last minute, late in the afternoon, when most businesses were already closed. They came out purely out of the goodness of their hearts and went above and beyond to help us when they didn't have to. We were overwhelmed and didn't know how we were going to handle everything, but their kindness and support made a huge difference. God truly showed us that there are still good people in this world. โค๏ธ
This post is both a thank you and a warning. Please do your research before trusting anyone with work that could put your home, your property, and people's lives at risk. Our experience has been extremely stressful, and we are still trying to get answers and deal with the damage.
If anyone has advice on how to handle a situation like this. especiallv regarding insurance and property damage, I'm open to hearing it. Thank you to everyone who has supported us through these past few difficult days.โค๏ธ
