This job was an interesting one. What started as a simple vanity and mirror upgrade, ended in a whole house repipe. We removed the existing vanities and discovered polybutylene piping. These pipes are notorious for degrading from the inside out and leaking without any warning. Also, a lot of insurance companies will not cover water damage done by them. With all of the vanities out of the way, the customer agreed this was going to be the least invasive time to correct it.

We hired Alternative Plumbing to do the repairs. They were great and helped us minimize the resulting drywall repair. We patched all the holes, ran wiring for the new lit mirrors, and reinstalled the vanities and mirrors. These bathrooms look great with this simple upgrade and will last a lot longer now that the faulty piping has been removed.

It was a project of organizing! Our customer often has her grand babies visiting. Her playroom needed a better closet organization system. The main shelves are stationary. The shelves on the right are fully adjustable to change based off needs. Two other closets also needed reworking from wire to wood. Additionally we added a rock wall and climbing wall to the playroom. We made sure they were secure enough to hold adults so safe enough for the little ones (our customer testing it out).

Our customer had their builder installed wire closet shelves fall out of the wall at 2am. They needed a fix that was both sturdy and fast. We installed these simple wood shelves with extra small shelves for their shoes. In the end, they got more storage due to the happy accident.

Our customer needed a kitchen upgrade. Gaining space from wall removal was not possible so we had to get creative. We removed all the old cabinets, lighting, and wallpaper. We moved the refrigerator from being in the flow of the kitchen to a small pantry closet. The pantry closet had open space under the stairs we were able to utilize. We noticed there was water damage under the toilet in the kitchen adjacent half bath while moving plumbing and electrical in the crawl space. We pulled the toilet and removed the damaged hard wood exposing severe damage. We replaced the subfloor and had the new hardwood installed and matched to the existing hardwood in the home. We completed the kitchen with new lighting, fresh paint, and new appliances.

Our customer needed to convert a half bath on the main level to a full bath. They needed to move an elderly parent into their home for care and the only full bathrooms were on the second level. We took over a hallway closet to give more room in the bathroom. We upgraded the lighting from a standard vanity light to canlass lights. We closed in the hallway door to the closet and tiled halfway up the walls to give better waterproofing for when they needed to assist with bathing. We hired Alternative Plumbing to redo the piping and add the additional waterlines and drain needed. The tile work was completed by Daniel Brown with Black Oak Marble and Tile. Blocking was added behind the tile for all of the grab bars and other things needed for stability. Shower glass will follow in two weeks.

Another great kitchen update. The customer couldn't change the footprint of the kitchen, since we were not changing the flooring. We opened up the closet style pantry and added cabinets and a counter top for appliances. It was a load bearing wall, so complete removal wasn't an option. We were able to move the header up 12 inches to give more accessibility. We went with a stainless steal hood in leiu of a microwave that will now be out of the way in the opened up pantry area. We relocated the fridge and dishwasher to give better kitchen flow. We added 14 (yes, 14) new canless lights to the kitchen and dining room as well as new cabinets on the bar side of the peninsula.

What a beautiful kitchen update! Our customer had a water leak that led to a kitchen upgrade. We changed the lighting to canless lights throughout kitchen and the adjoining family room. We had the floors on the main level refinished (John Osborne, amazing work). Since the floors needed refinishing, We were able to make the island straight and not with its existing "L." We also were able to add cabinets on the back of the island to increase storage. My favorite upgrade is the in-quartz pop-up outlets that our customer found. When pressed flat, the top is also a wireless charger.

Customer wanted to modernize her stair area. She also had almost no hallway lighting. We removed the carpet and old stair railings. We added a paneling detail on back wall of stair mid-landing. Lighting was improved by adding both a hanging light and canless lights throughout the hall area. The stairs were retreaded and stained to compliment the existing LVP floors. The railings were stained to match and installed with black banisters. The ceiling had a popcorn texture and was also smoothed.

Customer wanted to convert an unused closet to a coffee and w**e bar. We removed the doors and framing and finished out the area. We added outlets on the countertop, for the freezer, and for under cabinet lighting. We also tiled the backsplash.
