Thank you Hilda Meyer for growing from seed the Nicotiana plants and also Verbena bonariensis. They both bloomed well. I noticed 5 or 6 to***co hornworms devoured the to***co plants. If you zoom in you can see the red horn on the worm. This horn is what differentiates the to***co worm and the tomato worm. I am now looking forward to some hummingbird/hawk moths in the spring. I will have my camera ready in case I spot a pupa or moth!

My one lungwort has made 4 babies! Strawberry bush is blooming, this is a native plant and was here when I moved in 25 years ago. I am starting a fern garden. Mikes wood pile has some fungus growing. We are blessed to have such pretty nature in our own backyard.

Google Lens identified my mushrooms as Honey mushrooms but also pointed out my tree has tree damage. Was that necessary. I ignored the missing chunk of bark and honed in on the pretty fungus instead

What looks good today. View from above. Hip hurts too bad to go down the trail sorry. Bumblebee on last purple bloom, Oakleaf Hydrangeas with Sweet shrub blooming behind it. First year three coral bells made it thanks to deer fence. Two red hot pokers embracing, Barbara Haywood’s Spider Wort, new Calla Lilly from Yvonne Dee oh and the way to keep squirrels off your bird feeders is to buy them a feeder!
