Meet the Team — Meet Mike!

Mike brings a strong mix of hands-on experience, outdoor knowledge, and an appreciation for the landscapes we work in. With a background in Recreation and Park Management and years of experience working with plants and outdoor environments, he brings a practical approach to irrigation and landscape care.

Mike especially enjoys the problem-solving side of irrigation—diagnosing issues, working through challenging systems, and finding practical solutions that keep landscapes healthy and water-efficient.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys exploring Southern Oregon, gardening, playing classical guitar, and spending time with his family.

We’re proud to have Mike as part of the Drip Drop Irrigation team! 💧

⚡ Sometimes irrigation problems are hiding where you can’t see them!

This wire had damaged insulation but continued working for quite a while—until recently, when the connection finally started causing problems with the irrigation system.

After some troubleshooting and electrical testing, our team was able to track down the damaged section of wire, replace it, and get the affected zones back up and running as they should!

Irrigation troubleshooting isn’t always about broken sprinklers or leaking pipes. Sometimes, you have to follow the wires and find the problem hiding underground. 🔎💧

🕷️ A Friendly Winterization Reminder!

We’re definitely not trying to scare anyone with spiders—just sharing an early reminder if you shut down your own irrigation systems for winter:

Always double-check where you’re putting your hands! 👀

Valve boxes, backflow areas, and other irrigation components can make great hiding spots for all kinds of little critters. Our team regularly comes across black widows, slugs, and plenty of other surprise visitors while working on systems.

So whether you’re shutting down your own system or doing a little fall yard work, take an extra second to look before reaching into those dark, tucked-away spaces.

Stay safe out there—and leave the surprises to us! 💧🕷️

💧 This was a fun one!

This property had 14 irrigation zones being controlled by individual hose-spigot timers—a lot of timers to manage and plenty of room for confusion.

Our team removed the individual timers and connected all 14 zones into a fully automated irrigation system. Now, everything can be managed from one central system, making watering easier to control, simpler to adjust, and much more efficient moving forward.

Sometimes a great irrigation upgrade isn’t about adding more—it’s about making the entire system work smarter. 💦

Reliable. Smart. Sustainable.

Meet the Team — Meet Liam!

Liam was born and raised right here in the Rogue Valley and grew up working alongside his dad on their family farm. That experience eventually led him into landscape construction and irrigation, including several years working in agricultural irrigation.

His experience also took him to the deserts of New Mexico, where he spent time working cattle before returning home to Southern Oregon.

When Liam isn’t out working on irrigation systems, you’ll usually find him making music, fishing, hunting, or enjoying the public lands around the Rogue Valley.

We’re glad to have Liam as part of the Drip Drop Irrigation team! 💧

That’s Not Supposed to Look Like That…

This one was impressive! The photo shows a 2-inch irrigation mainline tee that somehow managed to blow apart at the coupling and become severely misaligned.

When a larger mainline fails like this, it can move a surprising amount of water—and quickly turn into a much bigger problem if it isn’t caught and repaired.

Just another reminder that a lot can be happening underground where you can’t see it. If you notice unexplained wet areas, loss of pressure, or unusually high water usage, it may be worth having your system checked.

🔎 Can’t Find Your Irrigation Valves? We Can Help!

Did you know Drip Drop Irrigation provides valve locating services? Using specialized locating equipment and a little persistence, we have a very high success rate finding irrigation valves that have been buried, covered over, or simply lost to time.

The valve in this photo was a little more challenging than most. After some careful searching, we ultimately found it in the middle of the yard, buried under nearly 2 feet of grass and dirt! 😳

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

At Drip Drop Irrigation, we get to meet some pretty great four-legged “supervisors” while working around the Rogue Valley.

And in honor of National Dog Day, we’ve officially restocked our service vehicles with dog treats for all the good boys and girls we meet along the way! 🦴

Whether they’re watching us repair a sprinkler, inspecting our work, or just waiting for a treat, they always make the workday a little better.

Today we’re celebrating all the dogs that make our homes, yards, and lives better.
