What’s protecting your solar panels? 🤨
Most homeowners don’t realize what can build up under their solar panels over time.
When we removed this customer’s system for a roof replacement, we found leaves, debris, and years of buildup trapped underneath the array. Left unchecked, this can:
🍂 Trap moisture against your roof
🐿️ Create the perfect nesting area for birds, squirrels, and pests
🛠️ Increase the chance of damaged wiring and costly future repairs
🧹 Make future maintenance much more difficult
That’s why we installed premium solar protective guards (critter guards) before reinstalling the system.
Now the panels are protected from leaves and unwanted pests while still allowing proper airflow for maximum system performance.
A new roof is the perfect time to do it right the first time.
If your home has solar and doesn’t have protective guards installed, send us a message. We’ll inspect your system and let you know if it’s a good upgrade for your home.
This is what we found after removing the solar panels.
This homeowner had no idea what was hiding underneath the array until we performed the detach for their new roof.
Years of leaves, dirt, and organic debris had accumulated beneath the panels trapping moisture and creating the perfect environment for pests and roof deterioration.
Out of sight doesn’t mean it isn’t causing problems.
If your solar system has been installed for several years, it may be time for an inspection to see what’s hiding underneath.
