This homeowner has been renovating his beautiful lake home and decided it was time for a fresh start in the basement. A new concrete slab was poured with a seamless perimeter drainage system tied into a new sump pump. These solutions with a v***r barrier system along the walls ensures this basement will stay completely dry.

This homeowner in Standish, ME noticed the back corner of his garage was starting to sink. Inside, the movement was becoming clear through cracking in the floor and separation in the framing.

Our team installed steel push piers around the sinking corner to stabilize the foundation and restore the building to a level position.

So, how do push piers work?

Steel brackets are attached to the foundation, and heavy-duty steel piers are hydraulically driven deep into the ground until they reach stable supporting earth. From there, hydraulic pressure is used to lift the units and stabilize the affected area.

The result is a garage that’s no longer relying on the unstable soil that caused it's sinking and is sitting on steel piers that will keep the structure stable for decades.

Sometimes the only way to fix a foundation problem is to get underneath the house.

With steel push piers, we can use hydraulic pressure to carefully lift and stabilize a settling foundation, helping bring the structure back toward its original position and giving it the support it needs to stop any settlement.
