Answer: while insurance policies vary, most don't cover routine dryer vent maintenance. However, most insurance policies DO require that dryer vents be maintained regularly and kept clean!
If you have a blocked dryer vent or a very dusty dryer that causes a fire, it could void any insurance coverage that you may otherwise have had from the incident!
Many condo associations or HOAs may include a clause that requires yearly or biannual cleanings to ensure this doesn't happen to you.
